We were told that playing was simple. Find a ground. Call your friends. Pick two teams. And for a while, it was. Cricket. Football. Badminton. Basketball. The whole neighbourhood felt like a playground.
Not
But year after year, our cities became busier. Grounds became harder to find. Friends moved farther away. And spontaneous games gave way to a new routine.
And so, we choose our food. Our music. Our movies. Even who we meet. But the way we play? It is still scattered across calls, group chats and unanswered messages. Built around uncertainty. Not around players.
When sports software is oriented around you... It’s freed from the friction that ruins good games. Freed from the clutter and unnecessary steps that get in the way. And freed from the endless back-and-forth you can’t control.
We believe sports software has a greater purpose: to help each of us play more often, our way
That’s why we built Matchn.
The first local play platform.
Mini experiences based on your sport, skill, location, and context. Not just another app for booking... but this time, an app for playing.
Without silos and dead ends, every part of the game can connect... Players can discover teams, teams can find opponents, turfs can surface open slots, and communities can grow together. A living memory of your game, that makes every match feel more personal.
So what will this platform become? In truth, it’s hard to say. Because we don’t know your city yet.
But we do know this... Someday, we’ll look back on group chats and scattered bookings like we do on cable TV. Useful for the masses. But never built for the moment. And that’s just fine.
We believe that a new era of local sport is upon us... As community football showed us that the game can live far beyond stadiums, and local tournaments proved that competition is bigger than official leagues, we believe in a future of play that is far richer and more diverse.
A future where sport is made for all of us, by all of us.
